Dense fog advisory this morning, warm afternoon

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — It’s a foggy start, with a Dense Fog Advisory set to expire at 10am today. Once that fog burns off it will be a warm and mostly dry day, but an approaching cold front may trigger a few showers or storms Monday evening through Tuesday morning.

Is any severe weather expected this week?

There is a very small risk for a strong shower or storm Monday night or early Tuesday when a weak cold front moves through the area.

What can we expect in Houston as Final Four weekend approaches?

This week’s weather pattern may bring a few showers and storms at times.A weak front may trigger rain and storm in spots Monday night and Tuesday morning. Cooler and drier air filters in Tuesday, which should bring the rain chance down and allow temperatures to dip into the 50s by Wednesday morning. Then the warm, humid air pushes back inland for the rest of the week to bring back rain chances. Another front may roll in next Saturday to dry things out later Saturday and Sunday for the rest of Final Four weekend.
