In March 2021, Jason Izaguirre, 20, was found shot in the backyard of his home a little after 1 a.m. at the 1500 block of Elk Creek Road, police said. Authorities pronounced him dead at the scene.

Izaguirre and a witness had just arrived home when an “unknown suspect” approached them and began shooting, striking Izaguirre, police said. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.

An investigation determined that the note was left on the back of a vehicle parked in the driveway after the shooting, police said.
