29-year-old man arrested after fatal shooting that left 2 dead in vehicle in Denton

Denton police arrested a 29-year-old man in connection with a fatal shooting last month where two people were found dead in a vehicle.

Officers arrested Silvester Williams on a capital murder charge Monday in connection with the shooting. His bail is set at $500,000, jail records show.

It’s unclear whether he has an attorney.

In the incident, police responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex in the 1300 block of Dallas Drive, near Teasley Lane, about 10 p.m. March 23. When officers arrived, they found a man and a woman dead with gunshot wounds.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified them as 29-year-old Breanna Dunn and 43-year-old Ronald Calvert Jr.

Police said numerous pieces of evidence linked Williams to the shooting and connected him to Calvert. They showed they knew one another, police said.

Denton police did not share what led up to the shooting or how Williams knew the victims.

Police are asking anyone with additional information about the fatal shooting or Williams’ involvement to call Det. Bearden at 940-349-7986.

Anonymous tips can be reported to Denton County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-388-8477.
