Suspect at large after 1 fatally shot, 1 wounded in downtown Dallas, police say

A man was fatally shot and another wounded Wednesday in downtown Dallas, police said.

Dallas police responded a little before 6 p.m. to a shooting in the 1000 block of Ross Avenue, near North Lamar Street. Police said two men, who have not been identified, were shot by an unknown suspect.

One man died at the scene and the other was sent to a hospital and remains in critical condition, according to police.

Officers are investigating and there is no suspect information at this time, police said.

No details about what led up to the fatal shooting or a possible motive have been released.
