Dallas police searching for suspect in fatal shooting last month in Pleasant Grove

Police are looking to identify the gunman who shot a man in Pleasant Grove last month, and a preliminary investigation reveals more details about the homicide.

On March 25, officers responded to the 9600 block of Scyene Road about 9 p.m. and found a male victim who had been shot, according to Dallas police. The victim has been identified as 31-year-old Darrion Hurst.

New surveillance footage released by Dallas Police Department shows the alleged suspect in a blue, hooded sweatshirt shooting a man wearing a white T-shirt, believed to be Hurst. The video depicts the two exchanging a few words before the victim was shot outside of what appears to be a convenience store.

Hurst died from his injuries at a hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
