Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated with great religious fervor in the state of Texas

Texas, USA (Report by Raja Zahid Akhtar Khanzada) Muslims in the state of Texas celebrated Eid al-Fitr with great religious fervor and enthusiasm. Eid prayers were held in cities throughout the state, including Houston and Dallas. Eid prayers were held at Islamic mosques and other venues.

The largest gathering for Eid prayers in Houston was organized by the Islamic Society of Greater Houston and held at the Stafford Civic Center, where more than 5,000 Muslims participated in the prayer led by distinguished religious leader, Basher Mulla. Many mosques in Dallas also held Eid prayers, including the Medina Mosque of Carrollton, the Islamic Association of Collin County, the Valley Ranch Mosque, and the Dar Al-Iman Mosque in Arlington. Men, women, children, and youth participated in the Eid prayers.

During their sermons, Muslim scholars emphasized the importance of unity among Muslims, while also praying for the safety of Muslims, Pakistan’s development and prosperity, and protection from oppression.

After Eid prayers, people hugged each other and exchanged Eid greetings. Muslim employees and students were provided with a public holiday in all government and private institutions, including educational institutions, throughout the state of Texas.
