Woman dies at hospital after shooting in South Dallas, police say

Dallas police say a woman was fatally shot in South Dallas early Saturday.

Officers responded to a shooting call about 1:15 a.m. in the 4600 block of South Malcolm X Boulevard, near Elsie Faye Heggins Street, where a woman was wounded and had been driven to a hospital, police said.

The woman — whom police did not identify — died from her injuries.

Police did not say what may have led to the shooting or whether any arrests have been made.
