Strengthening Pakistan Rally in Houston Sends Strong Message of Support to Armed Forces & Security Agencies

In Houston, Friends of Karachi organized a “Strengthening Pakistan Rally” in Houston to express solidarity with the Pakistani armed forces and security agencies and paying tribute to martyrs and heroes. A large number of Pakistani-American men and women participated in the rally, which started from Sugar Land. Pakistani flags were waved on hundreds of cars, and a procession was held on Houston’s national highways accompanied by national songs.

Apart from the general public, Senator Babar Ghauri, Vice President of Pakistan Peoples Party USA, Aziz Nazimani, and President of PPP Texas, Mumtaz Chang also addressed the gathering.

Senator Babar Ghauri stated that through this rally, we are sending a message that we are with our beloved homeland, with our Pakistani nation, and we negate the notion that Pakistanis residing here are against Pakistan or its establishment. He emphasized that he believes that Pakistanis residing in America, especially in Houston, are conveying this message that they will never abandon the Pakistani armed forces, and they will not let any impression prevail that those living here are against Pakistan or its establishment. Really participating further stated that the attacks on defense and government properties and memorials of martyrs by Pakistan’s enemies and terrorist elements have caused intense grief and anger within the Pakistani community residing in Texas. At this time, every patriotic Pakistani must express their solidarity with Pakistan and the Pakistani armed forces to boost their morale. It was demanded from the participants that those who have caused damage to Pakistan’s historical properties and conspired against them should be given real punishments in the courts of law.
