Student arrested Thursday after allegedly threatening Trinity High School in Euless

A student was taken into custody Thursday morning after authorities learned the teen had threatened a school campus in Euless via social media, police said.

The Texas Department of Public Safety notified Euless police Wednesday evening that the 17-year-old student, whose name has not been released by authorities, threatened Trinity High School, which is part of the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District, according to police.

School officials confirmed that the student who was taken into custody attended the high school.

The student was taken into custody Thursday morning before school started, Euless police said in a Facebook post.

In a letter sent to parents, school district officials said authorities deemed the threat was not credible.

“Regardless of the manner in which a threat is made, every threat will be taken seriously and investigated thoroughly,” the letter stated.

Euless police was not immediately available for comment.
