19-year-old man jailed on murder charge in fatal May shooting in Fort Worth

Police arrested a 19-year-old man Saturday in connection with a fatal May shooting in South Fort Worth.

Jamaion Wilson faces a murder charge in the May 9 slaying, according to police records. It’s not clear whether he has an attorney.

Officers responded about 7:30 p.m. that day to 4800 block of South Freeway, south of Seminary Drive, and found Daron Jackson, 24, with multiple gunshot wounds. Police said Jackson was taken to a hospital, where he died.

According to police, there was an altercation between Jackson and multiple people and the others shot at Jackson before driving away.

Wilson’s bail had not been set Saturday evening. Court records show he also faces a charge of family-violence assault stemming from an incident from September.
