Man was shot before crashing car off C.F. Hawn Freeway in South Dallas, police say

A man was found shot to death in a crashed car in South Dallas early Monday.

Officers responded to the 6000 block of C.F. Hawn Freeway about 12:20 a.m. and found a crash vehicle near the westbound lanes, according to police.

Police said 49-year-old Clifton Morris was shot and sitting in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other details about the shooting or any suspects were immediately available.
