Thunderstorms possible today in D-FW, some could be severe

We’re monitoring the chance for thunderstorms this Saturday. There could potentially be two rounds of storms. The first round is possible by mid/late morning. These will be quite spotty. The second round is expected by late afternoon into the early evening. This second round could be severe with a threat for large hail and damaging winds. Be sure to stay alert for these developing storms if you’re going to be out and about.

When it’s not raining (which will be most of the day), it will be hot and humid with partly sunny skies. The temperature will reach the middle 90s, but the heat index will be around 100-103 for DFW. Make sure to hydrate and not to overdo it outside today.

Any storms that develop later today will move out early tonight. Sunshine and hotter weather is expected Sunday with a high near 100.

Temperatures will come down a bit for Monday and Tuesday with highs in the low 90s. There will also be a slight chance of storms.
