Man killed, 2 others hospitalized after shooting in Dallas’ Love Field neighborhood

Three people were shot — one fatally — early Sunday in Love Field, Dallas police say.

About 3 a.m., Dallas police officers responded to a shooting in the 4600 block of Maple Avenue, near the intersection with Medical District Drive, and found a man and a woman who had been shot by an “unknown suspect,” a police spokesperson told Police later said a third person was also shot.

The man, identified by police as 39-year-old Loreno Antunez-Mercado, was pronounced dead at the scene while the other victims were taken to a hospital, police said. The victims’ statuses were not immediately clear Sunday afternoon.

No arrest has been made in the case and the investigation is ongoing.
