Boyfriend accused of stabbing woman to death at northeast Houston housing center, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — An investigation is underway after a woman was found dead at a northeast Houston housing center that helps people get back on their feet, according to police.

On Saturday, officers with the Houston Police Department were called to the New Hope Housing Center on Sakowitz Street, near the Greater Fifth Ward, at about 7:12 p.m.

When officers arrived at the center, she was already dead, and her attacker was gone.

Investigators believe the woman’s boyfriend stabbed her multiple times. Authorities said a motive for the killing is unclear.
