Dallas : an active religious leader in the Muslim community, Abdul Hameed Jhangda, the older brother of respected religious, social, and political personality Ghulam Jhangda  passed away. His funeral prayer was led by his son, Sheikh Abdul Nasir, at the Qalam Institute International in Carrollton. Many members of the Pakistani community, along with local political and social organizations, attended the prayer.

A condolence gathering was held at the Makkah Mosque in Garland, and condolences were expressed by the city’s residents. For the deceased’s eternal reward, prayers and Quran recitations were organized by his family at the Makkah Masjid in Carrollton on Friday evening. Various community leaders attended the condolence gathering and Quran recitations.

Also various community leaders, including former president of the Pakistan Society of North Texas, Abid Malik; Muslim Democratic Caucus leader Syed Fiaz Hasan; South Asia Democracy Watch President Amir Makhani; former president of the Pakistani American Association of Texas, Dr. Amir Sulem; Dr. Javed Ajmal; President of the Dallas Peace Center, Aftab Siddiqui; religious scholar Allama Babar Rahmani; leader of the Pakistan American Press Association, Raja Zahid Khanzada; leader of the Sindhi community, Moazam Bhanger; and many others condolences to Jhangda family and prayed for his forgiveness and bestowed patience upon his family. May Allah grant him forgiveness and patience to his loved ones.
