2 found dead in apparent murder-suicide in Fort Worth home, police say

Police believe a man found dead in a Fort Worth home Tuesday afternoon shot a woman multiple times before killing himself.

According to a police report, officers conducted a welfare check at a house in the 4500 block of Dove Tree Court, near North Beach Street and West Center Boulevard, shortly after 3 p.m. Multiple people told police the two residents had not been seen for several days.

Officers saw dogs inside the home and noticed the mail was piled up.

Inside the master bedroom, officers found 58-year-old Angela Lacroix dead on the floor with multiple gunshot wounds. Blayne Lacroix, 62, also was found dead with a single gunshot wound, according to the report.

A gun was found in the bedroom near the two bodies.

“Initial observations lead the investigation to be a murder suicide,” the police report said.

Police declined to specify the relationship between the man and the woman Thursday, citing the ongoing investigation. An obituary for Blayne’s Lacroix’s father, who died in November, describes them as married.

The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office ruled Angela Lacroix’s death a homicide, but a public report on Blayne Lacroix’s death was not immediately available Thursday.
