Record heat likely this weekend

Another hot day is expected Friday across North Texas with excessive heat warnings and heat advisories covering the area. Humidity will be high today allowing for heat index values to be as high as 115 degrees. Highs will be well into the triple digits through next week.

Along with the intense heat, the fire danger will remain critical, especially for areas along and west of I-35. Red flag warnings are in effect.
