Break from the intense heat

Today we are benefitting from a weak summertime cold front that passed through Monday. In fact, morning temperatures in the 70s are in place for the first time this month! We will heat up into the middle 90s later this afternoon, but no triple digits are expected.

Unfortunately the heat will return by Thursday. Highs will be record or near-record on Thursday ranging from 104 to 108. The dangerous heat will continue this weekend and into next week. Sadly, no rain is expected the next ten days.
