Heat relief on the horizon; Cold front arrives Sunday

The heat dome will shift westward by Sunday, allowing for a summertime cold front to move into North Texas. A Heat Advisory will be in effect for southern North Texas until Sunday evening as heat index values could rise to 109-degrees.

This front will bring a few isolated storms on Sunday and Monday along with a slight drop in temperatures. In fact, much of next week will feature high temperatures in the mid to upper-90s.

Temperatures will once again heat up to the triple digits by the time we get to the start of Labor Day weekend.
