A hot holiday weekend but nothing extreme

The month of August ended yesterday as the second hottest and second driest on record in DFW. Unfortunately, September will begin in similar fashion. Temperatures will remain above normal, but no extreme heat is expected.

High temperatures will remain in the upper 90s through Labor Day. But because of low humidity, temperatures will drop off nicely at night with morning temperatures in the 70s.

Temperatures will once again heat up into the triple digits next week. Thankfully, it doesn’t look like we’ll return to anything close to 110 though. Unfortunately, no rain is expected over the next ten days.
