This is the time of year we like to call “summer 2.0.” Despite fall’s official arrival last Saturday, the 90s are hanging around for several more days. Thankfully no triple digit days are in the forecast. In addition, lower humidity makes the heat more tolerable for now, but the humidity will be increasing later this week. Meanwhile, temperatures will hold steady in the mid-90s.
An Air Quality Alert (Ozone Action Day) is in effect for the Dallas-Fort Worth area on Thursday. Please try to carpool or use public transit by limiting vehicle emissions. Also, ozone is harmful for people with asthma and other illnesses impacting lung functioning. It is encouraged to take extra precautions for outdoor activities.
Despite the warmth, it should be a nice weekend for the start of the State Fair of Texas, with lots of sunshine!
