1 dead, 1 injured in southern Dallas shooting after victims were tied up; suspect at large

Police are searching for a suspect who tied up and shot multiple victims in southern Dallas over the weekend.

About 11 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to the 900 block of Medalist Drive near South Polk Street in the Red Bird neighborhood where a woman with a gunshot wound was searching for help, according to police.

Officers then went to where the shooting took place and found two men who had been tied up.

One of the men, identified as 30-year-old Deleon Williams died at the scene, while the second man was uninjured and the woman was taken to the hospital for injuries that appeared to be non-life threatening, according to police.

Police did not immediately clarify how far the shooting location was from where officers initially responded or any additional details.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
