Authorities are investigating after human remains were found behind a business in Tarrant County Monday morning, the sheriff’s office announced.
About 9:30 a.m., Tarrant County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 12000 block of Camp Bowie West Boulevard, where someone reported finding “a human skeleton,” according to a Monday news release.
The remains were discovered behind a business “in an area not easily visible to business patrons or passing drivers,” the sheriff’s office said.
The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office is investigating the remains.
Authorities have confirmed that the skeleton is not a fake, the sheriff’s office said in a written statement. No additional information was available Monday evening.
