Texas, USA: The Main Library of the University of Texas Arlington hosted a book launch event for “The Perfect Human: Muhammad (PBUH), the Last Prophet and Messenger of God,” authored by Professor Ishfaq Ahmad. The event’s chief guest was Dr. Tamara Brown, Vice President for Academic Affairs at the University of Texas Arlington.

During the event, Dr. Ishfaq Ahmad shared his personal experiences and the motivation behind writing the book. He also presented verses from the Quran emphasizing peace, brotherhood, and human rights equality. Attendees observed a moment of silence to pray for peace in the Middle East and the world, showcasing a sign of multi-religious and multicultural solidarity.

Dr. Tamara Brown, Vice President for Academic Affairs at the University, lauded the book as a remarkable scholarly achievement that goes beyond the author’s primary field. Several other distinguished university members who had read the book also expressed their thoughts. Dr. Peter Crouch, Dean of Engineering, praised the book for its insightful portrayal of the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as a profound thinker, humanitarian, and inspiring figure.

Associate Deans Dr. Lynn Patterson and Dr. Carter Tiernan commended the book for promoting interfaith harmony and its contribution to teaching diversity, equity, and inclusion. Community Leader Ms. Elva Roy spoke about her collaboration with Dr. Ishfaq Ahmad on community projects and technology development for disabled individuals, highlighting the book’s positive influence.

Dr. Hong Jiang, Head of the Computer Science Department, expressed his surprise at receiving a book about the Prophet of Islam from Dr. Ishfaq, known for his works in computer science. He praised the book for its comprehensive information and well-written content.

Dr. Ishfaq Ahmad noted that his book has received endorsements from prominent Muslim scholars and is recognized as a valuable addition to the literature about the most influential and widely discussed figure in history. The book spans approximately 700 pages, with the first part offering a comprehensive historical narrative of the Prophet’s life across 53 chapters. It includes over 500 Quranic verses and 100 verses from other holy scriptures, placed in historical context.

The second part comprises 100 short essays, each describing a distinctive human attribute of the Prophet, with references to the first part. Dr. Ishfaq Ahmad systematically explains how readers can apply the Prophet’s examples in their daily lives.

During the event’s conclusion, the audience posed questions about the book’s sources and research methods, and Dr. Ahmad responded by providing reference slides and explanations of his fact-checking processes. The audience was particularly fascinated by the book’s analysis of the Prophet Muhammad’s personality, including descriptions of his 100 human attributes in connection to 1,200 life events.

Local mosques in the Dallas-Fort Worth area have extended tremendous support for the book and helped to promote it. Additional lectures and presentations on the book are underway in Texas, Chicago, Seattle, Vancouver, Houston, and other areas of the country. It is also selling on Amazon with glowing reviews. Its Urdu translation with the title “Bashr-e-Kamil: Muhammad (SA) Allah Kay Akhari Peghambar,” is about to be published. All proceeds from the book are for charity.
