Cold, wet, windy weather continues for Tuesday morning drive

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Brrr! Suddenly, it feels like winter in southeast Texas, and it is possible some in Southeast Texas could get an early season frost to kick off the month of November.

Tuesday morning is going to look and feel a lot like Monday, with clouds, light showers, and a cold wind pushing wind chill readings into the upper 30s. We will finally get warm out of the 40s Tuesday afternoon once the clouds clear out. Yes, we do expect the sky to be completely clear for trick-or-treat time, which means it’s going to be fairly chilly! Temperatures at 5 p.m. will be in the upper 50s, but by 9 p.m., it will have dropped into the upper 40s.

Which mornings will be the coldest this week?

Wednesday and Thursday mornings will both feature low temperatures in the upper 30s for Houston, and it’s possible frost could form outside of the city, especially north of I-10. Don’t be surprised if you get placed under a frost advisory or freeze warning later this week!

When will it warm up again?

It will be cool but noticeably warmer on Friday as lows bottom in the upper 40s and highs warm into the mid-70s. By the weekend, we’ll have highs in the upper 70s to near 80 with lows in the upper 50s to near 60.
