A Divided Weekend of Weather; From Dry to Wet

The weekend weather is expected to be a littler warmer, primarily due to more sunshine in the forecast Saturday. Dry weather will hang on Saturday before a chance of showers and thunderstorms Sunday afternoon and evening.

A storm system will approach from the west, contributing to scattered showers and thunderstorms. A strong thunderstorm can’t be ruled out Sunday afternoon or evening, but widespread severe storms are not expected. Monday will bring a shot at a few showers or storms as a cold front moves across North Texas. The best chance for storms will be across East Texas.

Behind the front, Tuesday will be much cooler with highs into the 50s and a gusty north breeze. Wednesday and Thanksgiving Day will be dry and mainly sunny with highs in the lower-60s.
