Man in critical condition after shooting that stemmed from alleged road rage incident, HCSO says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — An investigation is underway after a man was shot in an apparent road rage incident Sunday evening, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident happened in east Harris County on Muscatine Street shortly after 4 p.m.

According to investigators, the victim and his girlfriend were parking to get food at nearby Tacos el Toro #2 when an undisclosed car pulled up to the victim’s driver-side door and opened fire.

The 21-year-old was shot and transported to the hospital. In a later update, investigators said he was in critical condition.

His girlfriend was physically uninjured.

Investigators said the suspect fled westbound on Muscatine Street.

They are working to confirm several eyewitness accounts before releasing a description.
