Protect pipes, plants and pets; A freeze for Monday morning

We’re starting the week with below normal temperatures. Monday morning lows will fall into the upper-20s to mid-30s. Please protect your pipes, plants and pets. Tuesday morning will feature a freeze for communities outside of the DFW Metroplex.

As our wind turns to the south, a gradual warming trend takes hold by Tuesday. Another storm system will bring showers and thunderstorms to the area on Thursday.

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny and cool. Freezing temperatures outside of the DFW Metroplex. Low: 36. High: 58. Wind: SSW 5-10 mph.

WEDNESDAY: Partly cloudy and seasonable. Low: 40. High: 62. Wind: S 5-10 mph.

THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Low: 50. High: 63. Wind: SE 10-15 mph.
