Hardy Toll Road northbound near North Beltway reopened hours after wrong-way chase crash

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — The outbound Hardy Toll Road near Bush Intercontinental Airport was reopened late Friday night, hours after authorities said a wrong-way chase ended with a crash.

Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman said the chase started on Louetta Road.

The driver reportedly had a flat tire but still refused to stop before the crash near Richey at about 3 p.m.

An Eyewitnes News crew also captured the mangled remnants of two vehicles at the scene.

Houston TranStar reported the wreckage cleared at 9:01 p.m.

It’s unclear why the suspect was being chased and if anyone was hurt in the crash.
