Dry now, but rain chances increasing

Another tranquil day is on tap for North Texas Wednesday with plenty of clouds and light winds. Temperatures will be a bit cooler than in recent days because of the clouds.

This quiet pattern will soon get more active with rain chances on the horizon. Some light rain (or sprinkles) could show up as early as Wednesday. The higher chance for this light rain will be to the west of DFW.

The much better rain chance for all of North Texas will arrive on Friday. Widespread showers are anticipated with chilly conditions for much of Friday. Most of the rain will exit by Saturday morning, so a dry weekend is expected.

Next week looks mild and dry with highs in the low to mid 60s. The mild weather could easily last through Christmas.
