Sadia Iqbal improves T20I ranking

LAHORE: Pakistan spinner Sadia Iqbal has secured fourth spot in the ICC Women’s T20 International rankings.

Slow left-arm spinner Sadia, who was a key contributor in Pakistan’s T20 series in New Zealand recently, has played 28 T20Is taking 29 wickets with best figures of 3-19 against Bangladesh in 2019.

For her consistent performance, the 28-year-old Sadia was shortlisted for the ICC Women’s Player of the Month for November. In ODIs, Sadia has climbed six places to currently sit at number 34.

Another slow left-arm spinner of Pakistan, Nashra Sandhu, is also among the top 10 bowlers in the ICC Women’s T20 rankings. Nashra, who has taken 53 wickets in 51 T20Is, holds the eighth spot. In ODIs, she has moved up two places to 13th.

Pakistan captain Nida Dar is ranked fifth among all-rounders in the T20I rankings, and in bowling, she is at number 18.

Moreover, Sidra Amin has shown progress in the ODI rankings, rising three places to 21st due to her century against the Kiwis on Tuesday in Queenstown.
