Child in ‘critical condition’ after being struck in Arlington hit-and-run, police say

A child was hospitalized after being struck by car in a hit-and-run collision Thursday in Arlington, police said.

A little before 4 p.m., Arlington police officers responded to the intersection of Park Springs Boulevard and West Sublett Road. A girl was attempting to cross from the north side of Sublett Road to the south side when she was struck, according to police.

She was sent to the hospital in critical condition. No additional details were immediately available.

Accident investigators with the department are working to determine what happened, police said.
