Wrong-way driver killed in crash with big rig near Texas Motor Speedway

In a tragic incident near Texas Motor Speedway overnight, a wrong-way driver collided with a tractor-trailer, resulting in the driver’s death.

Fort Worth Police reported that the crash occurred around 12:45 a.m. along the 2300 block of eastbound Texas 114 near the Farm-to-Market 156 bridge when the wrong-way driver collided head-on with the truck.

The wrong-way vehicle’s driver, the sole occupant, succumbed to the injuries at the scene. The identity of the driver will be disclosed following notification of their family.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was evaluated and is expected to recover.

Fort Worth Police have initiated an investigation into the crash.

In an unrelated incident, another person lost their life in a second wrong-way crash in Fort Worth overnight Wednesday. This incident occurred along Interstate 30 near Alta Mere and resulted in injuries to three others.
