According to HPD, an off-duty officer reportedly fired shots at a masked suspect in Northwest Houston

In Houston, Texas (KTRK), the Houston Police Department is investigating a shooting involving an off-duty Precinct 6 officer at a northwest Houston establishment.

The incident occurred around 2:11 p.m. at 10103 Tanner Road on Saturday.

According to police, the off-duty deputy from Precinct 6 was attending to personal matters when an individual wearing a mask entered the premises.

Authorities stated that the off-duty officer discharged his firearm at the masked individual, but it remains uncertain whether the suspect sustained any injuries. The suspect subsequently fled the scene in a black BMW vehicle.

While information remains limited, there are no reported injuries at present.

The deputy involved in the shooting incident, who has six years of experience with the constable’s office, will be placed on administrative leave pending further investigation.
