North Shore HS football player killed outside of Humble party, HCSO says

In the Humble area, an 18-year-old was fatally shot during a large house party, as reported by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred in the 4900 block of Fieldwick Lane and is believed to have been advertised on social media, drawing attendees in their late teens to early 20s.

Identified as Jarvon Coles, a North Shore High School football player, the victim was set to graduate next month and had plans to attend Lamar University in the fall, according to his grandfather.

Described as a “class act,” Coles was known not only for his athletic prowess but also for his academic dedication. Initially thought to have passed out in the front yard, it was later discovered that Coles had been shot when EMS arrived at the scene.

Despite efforts to save him, Coles succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The shooters, believed to be at least one or two individuals, fled the scene, prompting authorities to seek assistance from the public through surveillance footage review.

The investigation remains ongoing, with the sheriff’s office urging anyone with information to come forward.
