St. Patrick’s Day is approaching on Sunday, March 17, but the festivities are already in full swing across the DFW area. Here’s a roundup of events and celebrations happening this week:

**Dallas**

– **Dallas St. Patrick’s Parade & Festival**: Hosted by the Dallas Mavs, this is the 43rd edition of the St. Patrick’s Day parade. The festival runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the parade kicking off at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 16. The route starts at Blackwell Street and ends on SMU Boulevard.

– **St. Paddy’s Day Dash 5k**: A part of the Dallas parade festivities, this 5k begins at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday. Participants can enjoy access to a free beer garden and even participate in a donut eating contest.

– **Lower Greenville Block Party**: This all-day event starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, featuring three music stages, beer tents, and participation from several restaurants. Shuttle services will be available from Mockingbird Station, and bars will remain open until 2 a.m. with a $20 cash entry fee.

– **Dallas Official St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl**: Take part in a pub crawl visiting some of the city’s best bars. Tickets include 2-3 drinks, access to an after-party, and other drink specials. Check-in is from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, March 17.

– **Rail Yard**: Live music will be playing from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday, accompanied by green drinks and specials.
