Former UT Longhorn, ex-NFL QB Vince Young seen being sucker-punched during Houston bar fight

A video capturing a bar altercation allegedly involving former NFL quarterback Vince Young has circulated on social media, reportedly taking place at Tokyo Joe’s in the Heights early in February, according to TMZ. In the footage, Young appears to be knocked out by a punch to the face.

The Houston Police Department stated that bar staff members were part of the altercation and made the 911 call. All individuals involved were asked to leave the premises.

The video from TMZ depicts Young engaging in an argument with three men before the situation escalates into a physical confrontation. Young, identified by TMZ wearing a white hat and black shirt, is caught off guard by a punch to the face, leading to his fall.

The incident, occurring around 10 p.m. on February 4th, involved a manager, a doorman, and another employee, who were all listed as complainants in the police report. The manager reported being struck with a bottle and elbowed in the face by the suspects, noting previous disturbances caused by the same individuals.

Upon police arrival, the suspects had already left, preventing HPD from obtaining their names or the exact number of individuals involved. The manager expressed a desire to document the incident but opted not to press charges.

Young, a Houston native and former standout college quarterback for the University of Texas, has not responded to requests for comment. The manager of Tokyo Joe’s declined to provide a statement at this time, deferring inquiries to legal representatives.

The investigation remains ongoing.
