Investigation underway after 2 fatally shot at 21st birthday party in E. Harris County, HCSO says

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a shooting incident at a party that resulted in the deaths of two individuals early Saturday.

Law enforcement responded to the 11000 block of Muscatine, near Holland and the East Freeway, where a house party was taking place.

Preliminary reports indicate that approximately 50 people, along with a live band, were in attendance to celebrate a 21st birthday.

According to officials, during the event, an individual brandished a firearm and discharged it, injuring two individuals. The victims were rushed to the hospital but were pronounced dead upon arrival.

Authorities have not provided details regarding the circumstances leading up to the shooting or the number of suspects involved.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez mentioned the possibility of a third victim, but law enforcement is still working to gather information and understand the sequence of events.

As of now, no suspects have been apprehended by law enforcement.

Gonzalez stated that they are uncertain about the connection between the victims and the shooting, and investigations are ongoing to establish any potential links.
