Kate Middleton’s pal reveals how kids are dealing with cancer news

Kate Middleton is finding comfort in the presence of three children as she deals with the “huge shock” of her cancer diagnosis.

The Princess of Wales, who disclosed her health crisis last month in a video message, is leaning on Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, to uplift her spirits, a longtime family friend told People Magazine.

“You take heart from the extraordinary resilience of children,” they said, adding that the children are the “centre” of Prince William and Kate’s world; and they “buoy them with smiles back.”

“Having fun together when they can is very important,” the insider said. “The children are at the center of their world.”

Kate reportedly waited for the children’s Easter break before breaking the news so that their kids would not have to face their classrooms immediately before coping with it first.

“We now understand the logic of the timing — waiting for the children to break up from school. And she struck a pitch-perfect note,” royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith told the outlet.

The friend also added that Kate is also leaning on her “very reliable, strong” husband which is is why she “doesn’t feel isolated.”

The Prince and Princess of Wales skipped the Easter service on Sunday along with their children as they took some time away to deal with the health crisis together.
