Cal and Hannah McNair talk Texans’ turnaround, new uniforms, and future in Houston with Sports

In an interview with , Houston Texans chairman and CEO Cal McNair and his wife, Hannah McNair, emphasized the collaborative nature of their marriage, likening it to a team sport. They described engaging in active debates but ultimately making decisions together.

Reflecting on the Texans’ journey from a challenging period of just 11 wins over three seasons, the McNairs credited the team’s resurgence to various factors, including head coach DeMeco Ryans, quarterback C.J. Stroud, and general manager Nick Caserio. They highlighted the importance of making difficult decisions and building upon them to shape the team’s future success.

Regarding the upcoming reveal of the Texans’ new uniform combination, Hannah McNair, who is also the vice president of the Texans Foundation, emphasized fan input in the design process. Cal McNair provided insights into the new uniforms, mentioning four different combinations, including new colors based on fan feedback.

Addressing concerns about the team’s future at NRG Stadium, particularly in light of the Tennessee Titans’ plans for a new stadium, Cal McNair expressed commitment to staying in Houston. He mentioned ongoing discussions with the county and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo to ensure a mutually beneficial outcome.
