U.S. Army to host massive job fair at Globe Life Field as opportunities for job seekers grow this month

Attention job seekers! From Fort Worth to Dallas, several career fairs are taking place over the next few days.

The largest event kicks off Saturday in Arlington, and it’s so significant that Globe Life Field is hosting it. The U.S. Army will be present, offering thousands of job opportunities at the first-ever Total Army Career Fair. This massive hiring event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and features on-the-spot military and civilian job opportunities, cash incentives, and numerous positions in various career fields such as healthcare, education, logistics, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The fair is free and open to the public, but job seekers must register online beforehand and bring their resumes.

Yvette Bourcicot, Principal Deputy to Assistant Secretary of the Army for Manpower and Reserve Affairs, emphasized the breadth of opportunities available, stating, “We are hiring. You can come down and walk away with a job. Whether or not you want to be in uniform, we have an opportunity for you. If you want to be a civilian, we’re hiring everyone from childcare workers to cyber warriors.”

Parking for the event will be available in Lot R and Lot Q, with entry through the Toyota Southwest Entrance.

Additionally, Workforce Dallas, a job program run by the city of Dallas, is hosting hiring events on Friday and throughout next week in Dallas, Grand Prairie, and Garland. These events include the Development Services Job Fair, the Niagara Hiring Event, the Grand Prairie Workforce Center Job Fair, the Garland Workforce Center Hiring Event, the Young Adult Career Expo, the Garland Workforce Center Hiring Event, and the Desoto Works! Job Fair.

Lynn McBee, the Workforce Czar for the city of Dallas, highlighted the strength of the DFW job market, ranking as one of the top performing in the country. She noted that sectors such as healthcare, construction, hospitality, and transportation logistics are particularly in need of workers.
