Family Dollar manager assaulted during robbery, Fort Worth Police say

Fort Worth Police are seeking the identification and apprehension of an individual involved in assaulting a store manager during a robbery at a Family Dollar store on April 21.

The incident occurred at the store located in the 1700 block of Sycamore School Road around 8:20 p.m. On April 29, Fort Worth Police shared information on social media, along with a surveillance image of the suspect.

According to authorities, the suspect, accompanied by two other individuals, entered the store and proceeded to conceal merchandise in his hoodie pocket before exiting without making any payment.

Upon being confronted by the store manager outside the establishment, the suspect reportedly assaulted him by repeatedly striking him in the head, causing pain and injury.

The individual depicted in the surveillance image is estimated to be between 17 to 19 years old and was dressed in a red hoodie paired with black pants.
