Reward increased for wanted sex offender with Dallas County ties

The reward for information leading to the arrest of Marcos Christopher Alonzo, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender and the featured fugitive for March, has been raised to $4,000 if the tip is provided before the end of May.

Alonzo, aged 46, is wanted for failing to register as a sex offender. He has been sought since February 2023, when he fled from his last known address in Hutchins, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Alonzo’s criminal history includes convictions for assault causing bodily injury-family enhancement and obstruction/retaliation in 2002, resulting in a total of five years in prison for both offenses. In 2005, he received another five-year prison term for indecency with a child by contact, involving a 5-year-old girl.

In 2011, Alonzo was convicted for failing to register as a sex offender, leading to a three-year prison sentence.

Described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing approximately 250 pounds, Alonzo has tattoos on his head, neck, chest, arms, and hands, along with scars on his left hand, left knee, and forearm.

Considered armed and dangerous, authorities advise against approaching him.
