Major League Cricket returns to Grand Prairie for 2024 season

Major League Cricket has revealed the schedule for its 2024 season, with over half of the matches set to take place in Grand Prairie, Texas, along with an extended playoff tournament.

The season kicks off on July 5 with two matches. MI New York, the reigning champions, will go head-to-head against the Seattle Orcas in Morrisville, North Carolina, at 3:30 p.m. ET. Meanwhile, the Texas Super Kings, led by Faf du Plessis, will compete against the LA Knight Riders at Grand Prairie Stadium in Grand Prairie, Texas, at 7:30 p.m. CT.

“We are incredibly excited to unveil the schedule for the 2024 season,” said Vijay Srinivasan, CEO of Major League Cricket, expressing enthusiasm for the upcoming season.

Srinivasan highlighted the impact of the previous season in Morrisville and Grand Prairie, emphasizing the world-class facilities and vibrant atmosphere that contribute to the overall fan experience.

MLC responded to demand by extending the tournament by six league matches, leading up to a four-team playoff series hosted in Grand Prairie.

Tickets for all matches will be available for purchase on the official Major League Cricket website in the coming weeks.

Here’s the schedule for the 2024 MLC season:

– July 5, 2024: MI New York vs Seattle Orcas at 3:30 p.m. CT in Morrisville, NC, and Texas Super Kings vs Los Angeles Knight Riders at 7:30 p.m. CT in Grand Prairie, TX.
– Additional matches continue throughout July at various locations.
– The playoffs, including the Eliminator, Qualifier, Challenger, and Championship matches, will take place from July 24 to July 28 at Grand Prairie Stadium in Grand Prairie, TX.
