Celebrity pathologist who argued more than 1 shooter killed JFK, dies

Dr. Cyril Wecht, a pathologist and attorney known for his outspoken views on high-profile deaths such as President John F. Kennedy’s assassination, passed away at the age of 93, as announced by the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts.

Wecht gained fame in 1964 when he reviewed the Warren Commission’s report on Kennedy’s assassination, sparking a lifelong pursuit to challenge the conclusion of a lone gunman. His thorough analysis and assertion of multiple shooters propelled him into the spotlight.

Renowned for his courtroom appearances and consulting work, Wecht’s expertise extended to cases beyond Kennedy’s assassination, including those of Elvis Presley and JonBenet Ramsey. He was frequently sought after for his insights on forensic evidence, particularly in high-profile trials like those of Jean Harris and Claus von Bulow.
