Authorities are working to unravel the circumstances surrounding the tragic stabbing death of a woman, allegedly at the hands of her husband, at a residence in Colleyville on Tuesday afternoon.

Colleyville Police Department received a distress call just before 4 p.m. reporting a domestic altercation and stabbing incident at a residence located in the 6700 block of St. Moritz Parkway.

Upon arrival, law enforcement detained two male relatives found inside the home. Subsequently, they discovered 57-year-old Cathy Jones-Hudiburg unconscious on the kitchen floor.

Paramedics attending the scene determined that Jones-Hudiburg had sustained a fatal stab wound. Tragically, she was pronounced deceased at the scene, prompting an immediate homicide inquiry.

Following further investigation and questioning by detectives, authorities took into custody Jason Hudiburg, aged 57, the husband of the deceased. He was subsequently booked into jail and charged with his wife’s murder.

North Richland Hills Crime Scene investigators are aiding in processing the scene as the investigation progresses, according to the Colleyville Police Department.
