Sabrina Carpenter revealed what she seeks in a partner as her romance with actor Barry Keoghan heats up.
Carpenter, 25, spilled her dating secrets to Cosmopolitan UK on Tuesday. The Espresso singer disclosed on her approach of dating and what she looks in a partner – someone “funny” and “messy.”
“Contrary to popular opinion, I don’t think I have a type,” the Sue Me singer told the magazine. “But the internet loves to just put pictures next to each other of men who have the same hair colour.”
The Nonsense crooner further talked about what she is “super attracted” too in her romantic interest.
“I want to be with someone who’s going to be one of my best friends. So a lot of it is energy and humour and being genuine. I will say I’ve always connected more with people who are really in touch with their emotions,” Carpenter added.
The pop star is romantically linked with Irish actor Berry Keoghan, 31, since late 2023. The couple confirmed their relationship in February while they pack on PDA, leaving for a hotel in Los Angeles.
Elsewhere, Carpenter also noted during the interview about her dating approach and how most of her love life has been dependent on “fate.”
She said, “I know that’s super broad, but I don’t actively look for it. The relationships that I actually want to put my energy into have to be so interesting or invigorating because they take me away from the other things I love.”
