4-year-old dies at hospital after being found unresponsive at west Harris County pool, deputies say

In Harris County, Texas, a 4-year-old child has tragically died after being found unresponsive in a pool at an apartment complex on Monday evening, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched to the complex at 1721 Greenhouse Road around 7:23 p.m. following a drowning call. The child was in the pool with family members and about 15 to 20 other people when the incident occurred.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez tweeted that the child went underwater and became unresponsive. Emergency medical services transported the child to the hospital, where CPR was administered.

An investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
