Pilot walks away after gear collapses after landing at Denton Enterprise

The pilot of a Beechcraft Sundowner aircraft is unharmed following a rough landing incident at Denton Enterprise Airport on Monday.

According to statements and visual evidence from the Denton Fire Department, it appears that the pilot was attempting to land on Runway 36R when the right-side landing gear collapsed, resulting in the single-engine plane coming to rest just off the west side of the runway.

Fortunately, the pilot emerged from the incident without injuries, as confirmed by a tweet from the Denton Fire Department expressing relief over the pilot’s well-being.

Denton Fire personnel swiftly responded to the scene with their Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting truck and a green UNT-themed fire engine. While it remains unclear if there were any other occupants aboard the aircraft during the landing, there were no reports of additional injuries.
