Glen Powell reveals ‘Oppenheimer’ role that slipped through his fingers

Glen Powell recently revealed that he missed out on a role in the Oscar-winning film Oppenheimer.

The Anyone But You actor, who starred alongside the beautiful Anne Hathaway in the same film, opened up about missing out on the Noble-winning role of nuclear physicist Ernest Lawrence in an exclusive interview with GQ.

Although he passed on the role to Josh Hartnett, Powell added that he’s still in touch with director Christopher Nolan and is open to work with him on whatever comes his way.

In addition, the actor said that he was destined to meet with British filmmaker Edgar Wright instead.

According to Variety, Powell signed on for Wright’s remake of The Running Man, playing in the lead role.

Glen previously opened up about turning down a role in the next Jurrasic World movie, where he was supposed to star alongside Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo.

The 35-year-old actor expressed interest in the franchise but failed to see a suitable place for himself in the film.

He said: “I’m not doing that movie because I read the script and I immediately was like, my presence in this movie doesn’t help it. And the script’s great. The movie’s going to f****** kill. It’s not about that.”

“It’s about choosing where you’re going to make an audience happy and where you’re going to make yourself happy.”
